MHA Recovery Services Programs
Good Road Recovery Center located in Bismarck, North Dakota
The Good Road Recovery Center (GRRC) is a uniquely designed program that serves enrolled members of the MHA Nation and relies heavily on cultural, spiritual and religious activities, and equine therapy. Clients will be exposed to many paths to recovery and assisted to identify a recovery plan that meets their individual health needs. MHA tribal members can be assured that their overall wellness is the top priority.
GRRC employees are a mix of both professional and para- professionals. Two North Dakota Licensed Addiction Counselors are contracted as consultants and provide remote addiction evaluations. Two advanced degree therapists provide mental health therapy either on site or via a contract with a consultant. This consultant also provides Psychological Evaluations.
Each client, regardless of their level of care, has access to medical, case management, counseling and recovery coaching services.

All levels of care provided at the North Campus
GRRC is licensed to provide the following American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) levels of care for adults:
- Level 3.5 Clinically Managed High Intensity Residential Care
- Level 3.2 D-Social Detox
- Leve 3.1-Clinically Managed Low Intensity Residential Care
- Level 2.5-Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment
- Level 2.1-Intensive Outpatient
- Level 1-After Care
Addiction evaluations, ASAM levels 1 and 2.1, nursing, case management and recovery coach services are provided at the GRRC South Campus.
Program Prerequisites:
- Documentation of membership in MHA Nation
- Complete intake for MHA Recovery Services
- Valid Identification
Signed consent for services and signed release of information.
